Charlotte Kroeker, Ph.D., is Executive Director of the Church Music Institute in Dallas, Texas, coming from the research faculty in the Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Kroeker is editor of Music in Christian Worship: At the Service of the Liturgy, Liturgical Press, author of The Sounds of Our Offerings: Achieving Excellence in Church Music, Alban Institute, author of articles and essays on church music and piano, and contributor to Sacred Choral Music Repertoire. At CMI she oversees program development and research in addition to administrative functions. Prior to working in church music she was a tenured piano professor who always served churches as organist/choir director. She is a member of the Dallas and Fort Worth chapters of the American Guild of Organists, American Choral Directors Association, and Music Teachers National Association.
