Dr. Paul Klemme, a native of Missouri, has served as Music Director at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem, OR since 1997 where he oversees a comprehensive music program. He established the St. Paul’s Music Guild in 1999. The guild supports an extensive set of concerts along the service of Evensong once a month. Paul is also adjunct professor at Willamette University in Salem and conducts the Willamette Master Chorus. Paul has served in mainline congregations in Missouri, Washington, and Oregon. He holds advanced degrees in choral conducting and organ performance from the University of Washington and the University of Michigan.
Greg Homza, AAGO, has served as Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon, since December 2012. Previously he was Director of Music at The Church of Saint John the Beloved (RC) in Summerville, South Carolina for eight years. He has served in several Catholic parishes in the Portland area, mostly recently St. Andre Bessette. Greg completed course requirements for the degree of Doctor of Music in Organ and Church Music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he also earned a Master’s degree in organ performance and a Bachelor’s degree in cello performance. Comfortable as a performer, presenter, and clinician, he is passionate about music in worship. Greg is a lover of nature, and of all God’s creatures, great and small (but especially cats).
Charlotte Kroeker, Ph.D., is Executive Director of the Church Music Institute in Dallas, Texas, coming from the research faculty in the Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Kroeker is editor of Music in Christian Worship: At the Service of the Liturgy, Liturgical Press, author of The Sounds of Our Offerings: Achieving Excellence in Church Music, Alban Institute, author of articles and essays on church music and contributor to Sacred Choral Music Repertoire. At CMI she oversees program development and research in addition to administrative functions, including oversight for the 28,000 title Choral and 20,000 title Organ online Libraries. In her former life she was a tenured piano professor who always served churches as organist/choir director. She is a member of the Dallas and Fort Worth chapters of the American Guild of Organists, American Choral Directors Association, and Music Teachers National Association.
